IE is Windows based browser made by Microsoft. IE users can download add-ons, programs that expand functionality of browser. General add-on toolbars contain but are not restricted to MSN Toolbar, Yahoo! Toolbar, Google Toolbar and Netzero Toolbar. Add-ons can be useful, as said by Digital Enterprises, Inc., in that they "include new functionalities intended to improve Web browsing experience of users." However, PC users can uninstall add-ons from IE 8 effortlessly.

Instructions

Step 1

Start IE 8, click "Tools", and then select "Manage Add-ons". A Manage Add-ons dialog box appears.

Step 2

Find add-on you want to remove from IE8 add-ons. As there are various kinds of add-ons, you want to click on various "Add-on Types" buttons to find add-on you want to remove.

Step 3

Delete add-on from IE8. For this, "highlight one you want to remove and choose 'Remove or 'Disable' if you want to leave it installed but make it inactive".

Step 4

Go to "Start", "Control Panel" and then choose "Add/Remove Programs."

Step 5


Find any extra IE8 add-on programs you want to remove from list of programs.

Step 6

Choose and delete program from PC. If you are using XP, double click on "Add/Remove programs". If you are using Vista or Windows 7, choose "Uninstall Program" link. You have deleted IE8 add-ons.
