AVI file extension is kind of video format. AVI is between many kinds of files that web videos are recorded in, such as MPEG, WMV and MOV. AVI is quite general file that videos are found in and can be played on many video players. One player in specific that it can be played on is VLC Media Player.

Instructions

Step 1

Find AVI file that you want to play.

Step 2

Download VLC. Then Save it. Wait for download to complete.

Step 3

Double click .exe emblem to start putting in. Follow prompt to install software. Select to run software after it has been installed. If you get pop up at end of installation regarding privacy and network policies, read and click OK.

Step 4

Click "Media" menu. Go to "Open File" and find file that is downloaded. Click on it, then "Open." File must mechanically begin playing.
