To record music from PC, utilize Wave Out mixer on Vista, which records sounds from PC. Though, in most cases, this aspect is hidden on Vista OS.

Instructions

Step 1

Go to "Start" to access "Control Panel".

Step 2

Select "Sound".

Step 3

Choose "Recording" tab on sound settings.

Step 4

Right click on background and select choice to "show disabled devices".

Step 5

Right click on "Wave Out Mix" and tick "Enable".

Step 6

Right click on sound icon and click "Properties".

Step 7

Check the box adjacent to "Recording" to open recording devices for PC.

Step 8

Click on box below "Wave Out Mix" to construct Wave Out defaulting recorder for PC.

Step 9

Go to "Start menu" and click "Run".

Step 10

Enter "sndrec32" into box. Sound recorder appear on screen when squash "Enter".

Step 11

Begin source of PC sound you desire to record.

Step 12

Click "Record" then click "Play" to begin recording. Push "Stop" button to stop recording.

Step 13

Click "File" then "Save As".

Step 14

Go to folder to save file in it. Give name to file using the name box and click "Save".
