You'll often notice links that you're about to click on don't explain much about their destinations. The target might be a forged site or it might download malicious code to your PC. It's better to know beforehand where that link is about to take you.
A Firefox addon called DeTiny URL Expander discloses the actual destination of a cryptic URL link. It is still in the experimental stage and can be downloaded from.
