Service packs, patches and additional software all updates that HP sends to HP PC, printer, scanner or other HP device. These usual updates, such as Windows updates, generally install on PC without any problems. Though, updates occasionally crash and cause problems with PC.

Instructions

Step 1

Go to "Control Panel". In Vista or 7, open "Programs"; open "Remove/Uninstall Programs" in XP.

Step 2

Find "HP Update." Update may contain numeric code as part of its title.

Step 3

Click HP update you desire to remove. System may have many HP updates.

Step 4

Click "Remove" to begin uninstallation process. If display message about deleting update, click "Apply".

Step 5

Press "Finish" when HP Update uninstall finishes. Restart PC.
