Recorded audio files generally come with steady noises in background that can obstruct with clarity of audio. Though complex approach should be taken to delete rigorous noises of audio files, there is tool in program Audacity that can delete noises. Audacity is sound editing program that has several integral tools to edit sound files, one of which is noise-removing tool.

Instructions

Step 1

Run Audacity, and open recorded audio file. Recorded audio file will generally be in WAV or MP3 format, which can be opened by Audacity. If not, change it to WAV or MP3 format.

Step 2

Highlight the entire audio track by choosing "Selection Tool." Click and drag, or push Ctrl+A to highlight entire track.

Step 3

Click "Effect" menu, and click "Noise Removal."

Step 4

Click "Get Noise Profile." Audacity takes some seconds to scan audio track to recognize noise.

Step 5

Fine-tune noise you desire to delete by sliding bar in "Step 2."

Step 6

Click "Preview" to guarantee that only noises you want delete are deleted, and click "Remove Noise" when pleased.

Step 7

Export edited audio file by click "File" and by click "Export as WAV." Audio can be exported as an MP3 file by "Export as MP3" option.
