Combining Word Documents & Maintain Different Headers
Whether you want to make title page or to contain sole headers or footers in some areas of document, there is method to do just about all in Word. There are, actually, many methods to keep headers and footers, and easily adjust basic choices through page setup menu. Maintaining many headers is more complicated, though, as it will need to divide document up into various sections.
Instructions
Step 1
For different first page, choose "Page Setup". When it opens, choose "Layout". Check the box for "Different First Page" and initial page of document will now be without header or footer. This permits to make title page in same document without having to concern about something like page number showing in footer.
Step 2
To print document in way of book with opposite pages, then check the "Different odd and even" box. This permits to utilize various headers and footers on facing pages. E.g., if you plan page numbers in footer to show in lower right and left of margins of succeeding pages, they can show both left-aligned and right-aligned, correspondingly, on even and odd pages.
Step 3
To have dissimilar headers or footers all through document, you should split document into sectors by putting in page breaks. Click Insert and choose "Break." This breaks document into new section where you enable to have different header from earlier section. After you inserted page break, then click "Link to previous" button on header and footer toolbar to escape from header or footer of earlier section. You are now free to make different header in new section.
