Microsoft Windows Media Player is useful tool for playing audio and video files. Though, WMP also contains many extra functions further than those of media player. One of these functions is capability for user to save audio files in various formats using Windows Media Player "Rip Music" interface. With few clicks, audio format of track loaded into WMP converted to other audio file format and saved to hard drive.

Instructions


Step 1

Right click on audio file you aspiration to convert, and then decide "Open With".

Step 2


Click "Windows Media Player". It open and start playing audio file.

Step 3


Click bottom arrow below "Now Playing" button.

Step 4

Choose "More Options" link. Options interface will show.

Step 5

Click "Rip harmony" tab.

Step 6


Click "Change" button to modify place to save new audio file, if preferred.

Step 7

Click drop-down box "Format" in Rip Settings section.

Step 8


Choose output audio format type. Options are Windows Media Audio (WMA), MP3 and WAV.

Step 9

Slide "Audio Quality" slider bar to fine-tune size and inferiority of yield audio file.

Step 10

Click "OK" button. Audio file converted and saved to given place.

Step 11

Check changed audio file by singing in friendly audio player.
