2003 and 2007 contain an "Open and Repair" feature that can restore data from short-term or injured Word files. Since the file name push to to a brief or damaged .you can draw the file into Notepad to analyze the inside and prove that the document include the info you need. After reviewing the satisfied, you can then use Word to restore the file.

Instructions

Step 1

Click "Start," then category "pad" in the hunt field. join on the Notepad picture to open it.

Step 2

Scroll through the contents of the essay. If the file contains the data you are look for, type "Word' in the start menu search field and click on the Microsoft Word icon to open the program. Otherwise, continue to drag and drop .doc or .tmp files into Notepad until you locate the file you need.

Step 3

From the Word bill of fare bar, select "File" or the image. connect "Open."

Step 4

Select "All files (*.*)" from the "records of type" drop-down. choose the file you desire to repair.

Step 5

Click the bullet next to the "Open" key, then click "Open and Repair." Microsoft Word will attempt to repair the damaged or tainted file.
