Default Sound blaster X-Fi Xtreme audio sound card

    Greetings.

Bought in the fall of the computer and, as a little fond of music, has decided not to be satisfied with standard built-in mother and install SB Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio (PC going for my prescription). Starting operation by disabling the built map, and then earned, say, not bad. But that's the problem. I am constantly recording and mixing using program such as Adobe Audition, Sony Soundforge that for correct operation requires compatibility with the drivers ASIO, which I eventually realized that my card is not supported. Proved futile attempts to install such firewood as ASIO-4-ALL, the main problem - the delay of sound - remains. The delay is so substantial that the recording instruments categorically impossible. To reproduce the questions do not have, but task - to record, but the main problem - the delay. Give all I knew about the lack of support? What solutions could be my problem? If not, what card from the more or less available to advise to avoid problems in the future?

Maps to listen to music and its creation - all different. You bought a card for listening.

It is not required, especially Audition or Soundforge.

Card for such purposes must choose from a set of inputs, the number of channels, etc. If you do not need to write / play more than two channels at once.

For reviews on the Internet, make this map with ASIO4ALL to work normally; do not seem to be able to not only you.

The delay in the monitoring program will in any case, the question of its size, it is measured in milliseconds, usually, unless it is some exotic, a delay of 10 - 20 ms (milliseconds) is quite tolerant. Understand yourself, one thing - to write an industrial, another thing - atmospheric funeral doom (or, more simply, the music from a radically different speed).

Theoretically, you can write, using the means of monitoring the mixer card, not a program, and then pick up in your compensation. I do have fun in their youth, using the SB Vibra16C. The disadvantage - if you recorded a track program imposed an effect, then when you write it does not hear. In modern professional cards that feature is called Direct Monitoring.

    Thank you great!

I ask for a clarification. Tell us in detail about the "... monitoring of the mixer card, not a program, and then pick up in your compensation ...". How does it look like in detail?
