Now we have Guillemot Maxi Sound Muse soundcard in house. Not essentially a new sound card. Not even a great sound card. But more of a budget type soundcard that fit the bill for casual or hardcore overclockers building system. Or even a possible upgrade for those store bought pc.

Initially thing that I have notice about this sound card was low price. I had now installed my new Abit KT7A RAID mobo, and have been having problems with my Diamond MX-300. I will acknowledge, she was a good card for the two years I kept her, but it was high time to modify. Particularly when company that initially created MX-300 was out of business and no longer supported card. Attempting to get drivers for that thing was probable, but sure took some searching. Then original chip company is also out of business. Both A3D.com and Aureal.com are no longer. I required a decent sound card with full support and backing of its company. Would I get happiness with the Guillemot Maxi Sound Muse?

Here we look at some pictures of the sound card.

I feel I have seen some peeps mention how ugly the box is on this. Some small French chickie on front of my box? Now if it was a video card I assume I would have to be pissed. But for something as boring as a soundcard, I like it.
