Thread: Windows Media Player encountered a problem

I own an Intex speaker set and my sound drivers and sound card are properly installed. But I still cannot hear any sound from my PC. Windows Media Player gives an error "Windows Media Player encountered a problem". Can you please help me?

You have not mentioned if the sound works on other media players such as Winamp or VLC. Assuming that there is a problem with Windows Media Player, check for viruses and software issues on your computer. Update Windows completely using the latest service pack and drivers. Install the latest version of Windows Media Player and see if the issue is solved. Also check for the latest chipset and sound drivers for your motherboard on the manufacturer's website.
