Thread: Sound not working

I have Acer 4520 with windows 7 operating system .This is very annoying , my sound isn’t working I tried reinstalling windows and reinstalling the drivers at first it worked then stops working .I ran troubleshooting but not fix the problem .Does it mean my sound card is dead? If you are having any suggestions then reply me. It can helpful to me.

Please check your speaker's is disabled, in taskbar you have a little speaker is there a red x through it or try clicking on speaker to bring pop-up then click on the marker on the slider anything?? They are turned up? As well push marker to top.

Did your laptop originally come with XP/Vista? If it did come with Vista/XP originally and after that you upgraded to Windows 7 try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it 'Compatibility Mode' for 'Windows XP' or 'Windows Vista'.
