Thread: Surround Sound for laptop

My Sony BD-DVD Home Theater System and HP Model: dv6-1375dx laptop. Laptop is associated to TV via HDMI. Enclose works huge when watching cable TV and when inspection Blue Rays but does not work when with TV as projector for computer. When using TV as projector, audio switches from enclose to TV speakers - DMPort mode is only one that picks up sound but it mechanically switches speakers to TV. TV otherwise works great with computer. Anyhow I can get computer in enclose? Please help me to solve this problem.

Your laptop is associated to TV via HDMI. HDMI carries equally video and surround sound. You say sound comes from TV speakers. But some way must also attach laptop to home theater system to get surround sound? I mean sound from laptop reaches TV and ends there. You must straight sound from TV to home theater system or from laptop direct to home theater system.
