Default Can’t hear sound from my computer

I newly installed xp professional on my computer. I downloaded the drivers from the site by giving the service tag I installed the drivers and restarted my computer but to no gain to me

I tried to troubleshoot the issue with windows troubleshooter. I went into the device manager and it shows a yellow exclamation mark on the sounds video and games controllers. I uninstalled the driver and using the add hardware wizard installed it driver again. Still it shows the same problem. Can anyone help me this.

We are not starting a notebook here but sound drivers are a lot a problem depending on who makes the audio chip plus getting Windows to make them active one time installed. When you work with the XP drivers vacant for the E1405 as they have that model listed with the Inspiron 640m series

The first is for the innovative application with the second being the audio driver set. The third item is the optional SIGMATEL driver. If that was the only one you ended with that would explain the yellow marked items where instead of uninstalling the marked items you right click to select the update driver option.

Audio drivers on windows XP even on computer with a single card installed you occasionally had to struggle to get them to go on fully. The main thing is to make you didn't end up on the wrong page with a driver set for a special model series by chance and download the incorrect set.

It showed "The driver could not match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed". i downloaded the driver and the application from the dell website. I had the same ones before installed, but to be sure I uninstalled and reinstalled again and that also did not work.

I go with caretaker about perhaps having a fail chip with the do again attempts at trying to get the match drivers to run. You have to start looking at some include on cards for notebook if the chip is found bad.

On computer here the motherboard is always leave as a spare sound source in the event a card goes where I can still have sound. Unluckily you may end up needing the same if you bring the unit into a shop and they find the chip is bad there.
