Sound problems My system has stopped working. I checked the device manager and there were no clashes with the sound devices. I observed that this issue only occurred in one of user accounts. If I logged in as administrator all the sound worked well. In the user account, when any sound was played a message appears saying no sound device installed. I have tried re-installing the AC97 audio drivers but nothing is happen.

If you’re sound card is permamatly on your motherboard then you go to motherboards manufactures website.

If you're not confident what kind of sound card you have, you can download the Everest Ultimate and it should help you which card you are having and it would be simple for us to help you if you let us know the correct card driver .
