Thread: Sound card for new speakers

I recently purchased a Philips 5.1 sur¬round speaker (Model no - MMS 5130). It has three pin to plug into the processor. But My sound card is 2.1 channel. So please suggest me a sound card which has three point which I can plug in the speakers pins. All are 3.5 mm jack. My budget is within RS-2,OOO - 3,000.

Most sound cards on motherboards over the years have come with 5.1 audio outputs. Ensure that your card isn't one of them. Some speakers use RCA connectors to input audio to the amplifier/woofer. If that's the case, you can simply purchase these 3.5 mm ¬RCA converters and use those speakers. Few or almost no sound cards come with RCA connec¬tors. If you're looking for a 5.1 sound capable sound card, look at the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value 7.1 card. It should be priced around RS-1,800.
