The FX3022 2.2 speaker set poised on a desk will not only look good and
save space but also give you warm bass. Each unit has one 1.5-inch (3.5 W) and one 4-inch (9 W) driver, amounting to four drivers delivering 25 Watts RMS. While the bigger drivers fire downwards, the legs elevate the units to distribute sound in all directions. The smaller unidirectional drivers face the listener.
The main satellite has all the controls, and the main and auxiliary input jacks. But alas, controls for bass and treble are absent. The brighter side is that you can keep the speakers connected to two sound sources, such as a computer and a portable MP3 player. Finally, the FX3022 comes with a power adapter and adapters for different sockets. At first glance, these speakers look like little fire hydrants or traffic cones. However, this lifestyle pair, with its unique 2.2 concept and design is still quite rugged and solidly built.

For the performance tests, we used a PC with a Creative Audigy2 sound card, and then an Apple iPod Classic as sources. The sound, especially the bass, was much better with the former. Our playlist included Jazz, Hip Hop, Pop and even Hindi tracks. Sound quality was good at medium volumes, but started distorting as the volume increased. Overall, soft music lovers will like this pair, but they're not the best for serious gaming or music.
