The Creative Gigaworks T3 2.1 is a neat-looking 2.1 speaker system black topped off with a tinge of metallic silver accents. What we didn't quite like were the 2 small cube satellite speakers perched on a thin necked stand protruding out of a square base.
The control pod is probably the best pod design seen in a while. The top surface rotates and doubles as the volume knob, which has a headphone out and aux in, so connecting an MP3 player is easy.
The simple, yet good looking subwoofer has 3 drivers facing front, left and right with the idea to permeate low frequencies all around. The back panel has the control pod and left/right speaker connections plus volume knob for bass volume. The units are heavy, the finish pristine, and build quality above average.
The rated frequency response for the speakers is 30 Hz - 20 kHz. The signal to noise ratio is > 90dB. The sats have 2-inch full-range 'audiophile grade' drivers, while the subwoofer also has some proprietary feature called Creative SLAM (Symmetrically Loaded Acoustic Module) technology.
The bass is kickass with highs and mids not as impressive and overall volume loud, without distortion. The sound is not open, and the little cubes do not give that classy front to back depth in the sound.
