Logitech X-240 2.1 PC speakers are a lot smaller than I had initially expected them to be when I bought them online. They are very lightweight and compact. I do not see a problem with this system fitting into just about someone's PC setup, no matter how cramped your PC desk is. The dimensions of two satellite speakers are 6.9" (H) x 2.6" (W) x 3.8" (D). The subwoofer is also quite compact at 8.7" (H) x 5.9" (W) x 8.7" (D).
Every satellite speakers has only 2-inch-high excursion driver it does not sound like much, but you would be surprised at sound that they are capable of creating. The subwoofer is 4 inches shorter in diameter. The subwoofer box has a front-firing port, and sub itself really fires downward to floor. I have subwoofer located under PC desk, and it looks to operate well in that position.
The satellite speakers feel tough; whole system looks like it's built strongly. The system comes ready with a solid two year warranty, so you can possibly expect to utilize these speakers up until you are ready to upgrade to a more costly speaker system.
Away from two satellites and subwoofer, Logitech X-240 speaker system also comes with a wired remote which doubles as an MP3 player port. You can attach any kind of MP3 player to this port, and you can even attach certain kinds of music phones or PDAs via integrated adapter. MP3 player port can be utilized to charge music player, organization it with PC, or play music from player from Logitech system. The wired remote or MP3 player dock also is utilized to adjust volume of machine.
The satellite speakers' design develops the sound a bit by having the speakers a little tilted up to direct sound from your desktop directly to ears. It is just a small detail, but it does look to help music sound better and louder.
