There were no internal changes necessary, as I was happy to utilize motherboard's integrated 8-channel Realtek audio, so my faithful screwdriver stayed in toolbox.

I clean all mess off my desk, and begun with three front speakers. First I located center speaker at the front of monitor flashing up at me, but then I moved it up to shelf above to point downwards. This provided best quality as it then did not drown out side speakers over.

Unfortunately, one of my back satellite speakers was D.O.A. So I got onto Creative's support team and arranged an RMA and I had a substitution shipped from Germany. There were few problems with delivery but Creative was useful and sends it out again. I was pleased with their great service.

I place back speakers on shelf to begin with, but I found that here they did not include much. I determined to move them down to desk level and have them right on corners. This concerned me because they would be simple to deduct, but here they provided best "surround sound" I could handle. I liked to mount them onto stands, but room is utilized regularly and they would be in way more than anything.

The little desk stands for satellites are practically stable, and though they are not changeable like center speaker, they direct speaker’s well.

Now I will notice that all speakers apart from sub have a wall-mount hole on back so if you are gearing out a whole room from scratch it must not be too hard to fix speakers to walls and save a bit of desk mess.
