Skull Crushers
Skullcandy is more about rap, punk rock, snowboarding and all that but ironically they don't sell a single skate or snowboard. Skullcandy's Skullcrusher headphones come with a promise of fantastic bass, thanks to the vibrating sub-woofers included with the hardware. This was something that we were eager to experience, as we love amplified sounds while listening to our favorite tunes.
Skullcrushers are aesthetically appealing and a treat to look at, coming with a slick paint job and the company logo nicely embedded on each ear piece. However, the headset is constructed out of cheap plastic, giving away the quality craftsmanship that similarly priced headsets can offer. Despite the great looking graphics decorating the hardware, the plastic itself looks like it's the same quality as some cheap knock-offs you may find and constantly worry that they might break anytime.

They're designed with travel in throw it in your bag, and be on your way. If you tend to spend a lot oftime listening to music on the go, these headsets fit rather well. There is a cool travel pouch included. While this headset has decent clarity when the subs are turned off, its a whole different experience when you turn the subs on. It is important to adjust the level of bass on the in built amp as you will surely get a headache, bass lover or not, if the level is kept at max. It's hard. We have never felt such strong bass vibration from a set of headphones. But once a sweet spot is found, an actual listening session can commence. Another small irritant we felt was the absence of a full range volume knob, it would have helped in outdoor situations, where this model finds its best application. After all the convenience these headphones offer and the great visual treat, the audio quality delivered is simply not worth the money.
