    Default Information regarding SSD drives

I need a information how to setup Raid as I have decided to purchase the SSD drive which are more faster and cheaper as compared to normal drive and they are great in the presentation and I am going to use them on the raid 0 or raid 3 which will deliver more speed and they are very cheaper than Intel X25 and so I have taken all the necessary back-up of the data from my old 320GB hard drive and was looking out for some feedback if someone can help me in setting up the raid and as I am going to connect a 64GB SSD drive a 320GB hard disk and even one more 80 GB hard disk?

I would like to assist that the raid setup will help in increasing the performance of the hard drive and also provide improved protection to the drive and the raid are available in various levels from 0 to 6 and are very cheaper and affordable as compared to consumer level adapter.

As SSD are very cheaper as compared to the local drive but one SSD will not be capable of storing lot of data as compared to local hard drive and over and over use of these drive may lead to failure and this may result to damage or get defected better plan to buy a 2TB hard drive which are more available and are getting cheaper nowadays.

The RAID adapter are already available in your computer and numerous motherboard comes with a built-in RAID controllers if you do not have any RAID adapter in your motherboard you should purchase one as they are available in the market in the form of PCI cards. And if you have purchased the RAID hardware install it in PCI slots and install all the drivers regarding the controller. These controllers are mostly used while connecting more than one hard drive.

As there many RAID available from 0 to 5 or 10 whenever connecting it in the RAID 0 the setup increases the performance of the hard drive and it does not provide any data protection and it is faster for reading the data and there are more chances of data to be lost. The RAID 0 is mostly used by the high-end gamers who use more graphic application. The RAID 1 controller protects the data during copying data to other drives and the RAID 1 drive act as a master drive and other are like slave so there are less chances of loosing the data. The RAID 5 deliver both feature like it protect the data as well as transfer the data at a great speed and is very great at performance. Instead of using an entire hard drive as a backup, RAID 5 spreads idle information--called equality bits--across all of the array's drives, increasing the part of usable disk space. A three-drive RAID 5 setup presents two drives' worth of storage capacity; a four-drive array offers three drives for storage, and so on. If one of the drives fails, the data content of that failed drive can be recalculated from the equality bits on the surviving drives and written to a new, replacement drive.
And the RAID 1+0 or 0+1 support both the RAID 1 or RAID 0 through which both hard drive data is being stopped and due to this increases the disk performance. Even the RAID 10 act as same like RAID 1+0 or 0+1.
