The first bit of advice would be to take backups of all your important data on CDs/DVDs or any external storage device. You would have two options to increase the size of your C drive. One is to remove all partitions and create new partitions of the size you wish. This procedure would erase all your existing data from the hard drive. The second option is to use a third party partition management tool to resize the partitions of your drive. You could try free utilities such as 'Partition Logic', 'Partition Manager', or 'EASEUS Partition Manager Home Edition'. (Find EASEUS Partition Manager on the CHIP DVD). 'Partition Magic' on the other hand is well known, powerful and trusted, but it's not free. Whatever tool you use, make sure you back up your data and ensure the machine does not lose power during the process.
- 1. Select the partition you would like to move or resize » click Partitions in the top menu » click Move/Resize.
- 2. Select the partition you would like to move or resize » click the Move/Resize Partition button in the Tool Bar.
- 3. Select the partition you would like to move or resize » click the Move/Resize Partition button under Partition Operations in the Action Panel.
