I have just recently buyed a new external hard drive (Iomega 500 GB), but now it is not detected by my Mac laptop as well as Vista computer. So I took out the hard drive from the case and connected it to my IDE cable on my computer. And it was detected by the Bios but it was not identified by my Vista device manager, the only trouble is that I cannot access my hard drive in the windows explorer. Is my hard drive damaged or there are some bad sectors. I have also tried to alter the jumpers on slave as well as master but their was no response from the available the problem still continued. I have one other drive in my computer which is an SATA drive. Please help, as I have a lot of significant data on that hard drive.
