    Default Vibration HDD MAXTOR STM3250310AS

Vibrating hard drive MAXTOR STM3250310AS (250 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
Rearranged in different cells, it is still part of the resonance with the whole system unit, and even a desk!

Now screw my works not bolted and the system unit (front part) are on a piece of foam rubber.

Sam building of course, cheap, low quality, but the other screw WDC WD2500JS-60NCB1 (232 GB, IDE) does not vibrate.I'll Show how to get rid of vibration screws?
And what is the probability of failure as a result of these vibrations?

And you seriously believe that able to drive to vibrate less? Vibrations occur (and amplified), usually just because of the loose locking disc in substandard housing with low stiffness (thin steel). Different manifestations of vibrations with different disks stems only from the fact that your body some drives do not resonate as well with - resonate, which is a coincidence own frequencies. Elevated vibration drives benefit not go, reducing the actual period of service. To reduce the vibration of the disc can be consolidated in (as it usually is, and Heat Sink, cost about 800 pp.), and the inside of the enclosure can glue soundproof material (At least the same as that used for soundproofing the Body). Bonding soundproofing in general reduces the natural frequency of vibration body, and has remained much less chance of emergence of the resonance (especially when using more than one disc), even without mounting drives.

If the engine is at the machine rigidly fixing the body of what happens correctly, the vibration from the engine spread to the entire body. Another option: hug all over the washing machine (much press to it) at a time when the wringing exercises that will correctly you will like a washing machine! The more you cling to it, the more you will have a sausage! It's the same with hard drive: if it is not tightly fastened, the sausage is generally only him, but when it is rigidly fixed to the body - the vibration spreads and housing.
