Please tell me how to back up the data that is stored on my computer's internal hard drive. The problem is when I boot my computer an error message gets displayed on the screen which says 'C:\ Windows\system32\confiq\system file is missing'. Since I cannot boot my computer, how I can back up the data? Please help.

If your system is having trouble booting up, you can save the data using either of these two procedures. Remove the hard drive from your system and install it on another computer and save all the data you need to another hard drive or optical media. Boot your system using a live edition operating system (Knoppix or Ubuntu) and connect a USB hard drive (external storage) to the system, Transfer all the data from your hard drive to the external storage.

Next after the data is backed up, you can reinstall the operating system completely. Later restore the data on the system from the backup medium.

You can use a backup program but you`ll need lots of DVDs if you have many programs installed or you can copy the files to an external HDD. (if you have any)

If your operating system files is corrupted. you can reinstall the OS on the same drive using windows CD or DVD. or if you do not have windows CD then pull the hard disk from your computer and take it to your any friend computer and connect the hard disk to secondary slave. now you will see your hard drive in my computer and take the backup from there to any cd or dvd you have.

    Hello Friends.....

    Tips for data backup are

1.There are many ways to backup data on your computer - the least effective of which is having the only backup location on your actual hard drive. Instead, use external hardware such as a disk, CD, zip drive, or memory stick.

    2.Online backup is another option.

    Thanks

    Hello Friends....

In fact, many personal computers make it even more convenient for you, by having free data backup software that is included with your operating system. With this type of software, all you need to do is select the folders on your computer that you would like to backup, and it will do it automatically at predetermined times.

    Thanks

A comprehensive data backup strategy is vital to your data security. Too many people wait until disaster strikes before they think about a backup. A good backup is an excellent way to protect against viruses, deteriorating hard drives, disasters and human errors. If it would not be cost effective or even possible to re-enter data, then you need a backup strategy.

    Have a nice day
