I will suggest you that 640 gig WD caviar blacks are truly fast. So are 320 gigs. The 250, 500, and 750 gig drives are not as quick. I reject to purchase anything other than their caviar black drives. I may purchase from other fan lines, but I have heard nothing but horror stories from Seagate. I purchase them in pairs and RAID-1 them for first year. After year they are better survival rates.
Just as dependable as internals. And just as internals, you still need to back them up since a virus or failure will cause the files to vanish.
In one line...
"Hard disks are temporary storage."
Have a nice day
I would go for the Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 Plus 200GB (ST3200822A).
I had used this and it is completely worthy for me. I had not face any difficulty regarding this yet. And has been really very useful for me.
Try this, and i would like to say also use worthy anti virus to protect your data.
