Conceptronic equips the external hard drive the next Grab'n'Go Series USB e-SATA with. This is yet uncommon in the 2.5-inch range. The test shows whether the interface of the fleet has in practice what it promises in theory. Actually Conceptronic primarily sells only the housing in the internal disks can be installed to make them external device models. In this test device, however, the board of Samsung HM250JI with the ID was built right. On the outside of the housing is found next to a mini-USB port also as E-SATA port. This is still rather rare in the external 2.5-inch hard drives.

Besides the e-SATA cable, and the bag for traveling two USB cables are in the package - one for data transmission and one for the power supply. The record shows that the holding either two USB ports or a USB and an e-SATA port on the computer. Any programs for data backup can not be found. At the E-SATA interface, the disk 61.36 MB / s achieved in reading and in writing - fast. The USB port, we have a maximum of 33.14 MB / s read and 29.53 MB / s measured in the letter values that meet the expectation of the interface.

The access time of 13.06 ms is still neat. The meter provided 18.3 dB (A) at idle and 18.7 dB (A) established under load - slightly elevated levels. Sone in the plate was also not above 0.1. At our measuring point between the table and drive up were 34.5 degrees Celsius - no noticeable temperature. The E-SATA port on the Conceptronic Grab'n'Go proven in the test fleet as way to backup. But in this model 39 cents per GB will be charged. Good value for money for a 2.5-inch disk.
