The plan and appearance of the TS-209 Pro is nearly very to QNAP’s older TS-201 model which was also a two-bay device. So they haven’t acted too much in the plan section to give us something new and stimulating, but rather they’ve stuck with their old faithful plan.
The presence facia of the TS-209 is a glossy black plastic item with a little control and position light panel at its base which admits a individual USB port, while the rest of the unit is constituted of a grey powder-coasted metal chassis and body that when matched with the 2 hard repels inside does pack rather a bit of weight, so it’s certainly not a portable result. gratefully it is a very rigid device, so stacking books or other computer instrumentation on top won’t be a drama at all.
At the erect of the TS-209 Pro the image is dominated by a seven cm exhaust cooling fan, which is a great inclusion to hold the 2 internal repels cool with air constituting drawn in by intake vents on either side of the case. Also at the rear we have the common power and LAN connectors, as well as 2 USB ports (in addition to the 1 we already have on the front) for association to external hard repels, flash repels or even printers.
There’s too a K-Lock (Kensington Lock) hole so you can ensure this to the desk and stop someone walking off with it.All up it’s not a bad appearing unit, and somewhat delusory as to its capacities - which we’ll talk more about afterwards – it looks like only a simple hard repel box, but what it can do is rather impressive.
