So better cost it up and also create sure that you move it off whenever you are not operating on your program. Actually I would say that you should move it off always when not in use and not just for once in 2 to 3 times.

Switching off your UPS is a better choice but you should also create sure that its energized enough to provide energy to your program when required. And if you are one of them who always tool the UPS to the energy then I would better recommend you to go by your associates recommendation.
