    Default Trouble with memory

I am new to this message board so i have to say awesome job for it. Looks excellent and have discovered some useful elements. But i have this particular issue i cannot fix. I purchased a 2x2Gb kit kingston hyperx. Its DDR2 or PC2-8500. (KHX8500D2K2/4G). The issue is that once i ve set up it, i run CPUID to see if everything is ok and i get that my RAM is PC2-6400.

I have observed and study sometimes you have to go into the bois and set elements personally with certain mobos...give that a try. Maybe they were labeled incorrect. Try in a companion pay just to be sure.

Storage companies can only offer memory ranked at what they say it will do. Yours ranked at PC2-8500 indicates its maximum possible rate is DDR2-1066. That shows its generally best DDR2-800 random access memory that can OC to DDR2-1066 rate. Pushing/Overclocking it beyond that specifications is at your own risk!!

That storage (most likely) has been downclocked to go with the standard features of your mobo; however, when you should also involve your mobo make/model variety so someone can cross-reference its features with the storage in concern. Also, a mobo bios usually discloses the memory's features with regards to rate (ie, 800MHz) so its odd to listen to that one determines the storage by the developing name (eg, ddr2-6400); however, if you just transformed the real rate proven to a Jedec name tag, by pass the interpretation when because it is very complicated.
