    Default Pentium 4 540 vs Athlon 64 3200 +

If you already know that these processors are obsolete but after I sold my 965 phenom I only have these 2 options and equipment that had stopped. I have to take in until you exit the 3770k (hard to hold). Obviously I will not be able to play anything but I want you to hold decent windows 7 (which would be neither better 32 or 64 bits?). Both processors would put a 2GB ddr2 800mhz which would you recommend?

For the necessities that you can use today, you do not care one another, so you eat less the Pentium 4 was lower in gaming, but I imagine that anger equaled or maybe even better on the desktop, navigate, but I assure you that you will despair loooong, sailing and all that, with waiting times, and tells you one using a P4 640 daily which is also practically new hours (has less to my i5, with that I'm telling you all). That if the ram you're going to put, put on 32-bit if or if, because you have small quantities, and not that this will go with windows 7 but not XP and is stuck on 7.

The Pentium 4 does not support 64 bits. Anyway they will walk more or less in line in a win things and other gains another, I say this because at the time I had that Athlon and P4 3.0HT. The Athlon is cooler. If it is to expect the same thing. Of course, if you want 64-bit has to be necessarily the Athlon 64. From my personal experience and my opinion would put the AMD, I surrendered more than the P4 3.0HT.

Although you will have to go very fair both myself I would choose the athlon and some overclocking. Besides you can always view and test yourself with both W7 and draw your own conclusions.
