As running system youare utilized on your machine Vista or XP since all OS has dissimilarsetting to alter mic settings. So if you are apply windows vista thenright click to the Volume icon and choice playback twist highlightspeakers and now chocie properties now go to stage and make mute themicrophone but in playback not in recording. And if you are applywindows XP then you can click on the volume image and it will slowlyyou the playback twist and settings and once again here you make mutethe microphone.

First I required to give you thanks for giving me feedback! Yes I amutilize windows vista on my machine and trust me I tested entire thesetting and try to make it mute by going to the recording menu. Ifinish all you said but yet I am listen. You just test it yourselfand put you headphone in your computer and tap on the mic on yourscreen, have you listen anything? Now try to turn it off? I got tireby all this.

Yes I have also look that characteristic also in my PC and with windowsvista but now I am not utilize that drilling OS . Now I have turn towindows 7 and its identical better. That time I made few setting inmy audio twist handler and made it off. Now I did not know about howto on screen shots or I will have given you one. There was no micstage in speaker properties below “levels”. But these were fewother settings like "PC Speaker" and an "InputMonitor".

I am not apply XP or vista on a desktop amchaien. I buy a fresh laptopof dell operating with windows 7 and it gives me total expiation inentire the operate. If you require to turn off entire your mic audioand then you go the Volume control and then in progressed controlthere will you determine the mute settings of ur mic. Choice >properties may lead to few substance as also, as to invalid the innermic. Guess this leads to something and will not make any trouble.

    Thanks,
