Many of you might think that OCZ required computer Power & Cooling, a major enthusiast electricity transfer unit manufacturer, return in May of 2007. Since then OCZ has broaded their power transfer lineup quite considerably, with a number of very effective units such as the Z serial which was too awarded the 80-Plus Gold Certification return in 2009.
The novel ZX serial characteristics a number of developements such as a 100% standard wire management system, longer ultra-quiet 140mm ball-bearing fan and greater linking flexibility, now to name of a some. The ZX serial is planned to be uncompromising for best-in-class function and dependability for recent's high-finish gaming systems and professional workstations.
While these are nearly pricey units, when distinguished to the asking cost of more 80-Plus Gold Certification power transfers the ZX serials really looks rather fair.
For example the many past OCZ Z Serial 1000w standard power transfer still sellings cost in US, while the MSRP at established day was higher rate in US. Expecting still further at the 80-Plus Gold competition exposes the Silverstone Strider ST1200-G at more higher rate US, the Corsair Professional Series AX1200 and Antec High recent Pro HCP-1200 at US. Yet the Cooler chief dumb Pro Gold Series 1200w unit price more than the OCZ ZX Series 1250w at US.
In fact there is nothing south of the OCZ ZX Series 1250w in the 1200w – 1500w rate, creating it the most cheap 1100w+ 80-Plus Gold product available, at least to our experience.
The 1000w model does have more competition on its hands, but still US only cheaper less well familiar brands like Raidmax, NZXT and KingWin are below diluting OCZ. A same matter was found while sizing up the 850w example as well.
So the novel OCZ ZX Series appears fine on paper and has been costed very competitively given the credentials, but what creates these power transfers tick and how done their function? Read on to determine impossible.
