Default Esata with the Dell laptop

I want to know about the esata express card with a dell latitude d830. I am using usb drives though speed has become sore and impacting output. I want at least 500 GB so suggest me any what card, drive, and "other equipment". Any help will be appreciated.

Any card must work as long as drivers are obtainable for OS. However I advise see the USB 3.0 ExpressCard. USB 3.0 is simple to function with on plug-and-play side of things and if you want to utilize it somewhere else that does not have 3.0 if drops back to USB 2.0.
