Thread: Video card Drivers problem

I attempted the windows Vista and windows XP 32bit drivers from ATi website and they do not look to work in Windows 7 at all. Can anyone suggest me where I can acquire Windows 7 drivers for my video card please due to ATi doesn't even have them still .

Windows XP drivers for video cards won't work for windows 7. yet the windows XP drivers have to substituted on the windows 7. The release notes for all catalyst are the thing to go by as those show the models supported.

I require to upgrade. I don't actually play games therefore it's one type of a waste

The Vista drivers will run correctly on windows 7 as they are matched with both editions. I would run the Vista edition of the Catalyst for the time being as that still supports the older models until you finally upgrade the card or even into a fresher system.

As for the irregular gaming here I primarily use that for characteristic testing on a mid range card without all the thrills. A some of those are old 98-XP matched games running on the windows 7 . Who says all of the old stuff has to be substituted correctly away?

You cant downloaded drivers for a 32bit installation. as the windows 7 beta forms windows Vista drivers have been used quite often until at last seeing windows 7 beta and finished driver sets labeled windows7 on them once the RC became usable.

i acquired the 32bit, i don't have windows 7 64bit. authorized drivers do not work with windows 7 .

The final driver set catalyst edition that will support that card along with various older model series is the Catalyst 9.11 for the 32bit Vista. The updated catalysts labeled for windows 7 fall the older X1xxx and older cards out of the loop totally.

The two downloads available are the 9.11 catalyst set itself and the WDM computed Driver for on board graphics. usually I have never run into any real characteristic problems using a Vista update on windows 7. If your card was a bit newer you would be running the Cat. 9.12 now available for windows 7.
