This video card is based on AMD’s Hemlock chip. This chip is almost equal to the HD 5870 in terms of stipulation excluding there are two of them on the card and the reference HD 5970 chips are clocked at 725MHz in its place of the 850MHz reference clock for the HD 5870. Each of the two chips on the board has 2.15 billion transistors produced on TSMC’s 40nm production process. All of the two chips have 1600 Stream Processors, which is twice that of the HD 5870.
