Thread: Uncover long file names

In a Finder window set to column view, click the tab at the bottom of the verti¬cal divider to expand the column to the width of your longest filename. Do it once to optimize for the length of your typical filenames. Hit Option and double-click the tab, and all columns will expand, too.
