One of the most popular website among college students is Facebook. This is because Facebook provides with a variety of features to convey messages and emotions. You can scribble on your friend's wall, send pokes, exchange photo and videos, and send virtual gifts.

Besides features with the help of which you can convey emotions and send across messages, one of the interesting and handy applications available of Facebook is the "Marketplace". This is a feature unique to Facebook. Here you can look for jobs, housing, different items like books, furniture, car and many other such things. Lets take a scenario, where you are a student who's got a scholarship abroad for studies. You will need to look for a place to stay near your school before you reach there. Sounds difficult, doesn't it? That's when you need to go to the Marketplace on Facebook.



In the left pane, under Applications, click the Marketplace link. To look for accommodation, click the Housing link. Enter the place where you are looking for accommodation, the kind of accommodation [example: rent/ apartment), rent range and number of bedrooms. Click the Search button. You can now view the list of options matching your criteria.
