My pc continues to ask me for Tray app which I don’t have

Hi there I just started on my pc today win 2000 and its demanding for Tray app then asks for the disk which I don’t have it. I have also searched on the net to find it and unable to locate it anywhere. I hope that it can’t be sorted out.
Thanks ahead of time.

Have you startup the item that's problematic or looking out for a dead link to gain the msconfig.exe and then try to narrow down which startup item may be liable for it

I have read about your problem which was exactly the same as mine. Mine too happened just after when I switched off my HP printer before switching off my PC. While on the next bootup, this problem occurred. After reading the forum and your discussion, I put in my HP printer setup disk and clicked at 'OK". It cured the Tray App problem. I also got myself registered as a forum user just to inform the other users who had the same problem. This is also to thank those who took the trouble to air their problem and those who took the trouble to reply.
