Thread: File vanishes while machine rebooting

I’m making use of Windows 2000 Pro there's a 16 bit program which wish autoexe.nt to run in it. This file always keeps disappearing when the machine is been rebooted. As of now I've also written a batch file to reinstall the file at the startup. Any and all suggestions are been appreciated.

It sounds that some spyware/malware is annoying to upset your system. Download & run Ad aware - it will solve your problem. You must also scrutinize the Startup tab of msconfig.exe for doubtful items. For preventing the autoexec.nt from being deleted, nail it down with the particular NTFS authority. Make it read-only for everybody and make a non-administrator the owner.
