Pentium 4 with end of w2k Pro??

All

now that where the new Pentium D chip is obtainable and no one is willing to sell it out with the w2k pro or server must be expecting for having an end of life for w2k pro?? With this new generation of chips it also looks like the single core P4 will soon become the future Celeron.
Thanks

Win2000Pro will not go away for several years yet, basically since there are millions of people who are still making use of it. When Vista is out, there might be still a lot of people on Win2000, as well as also on the Win XP that may not be upgraded. Win2000 works, XP works, and a lot of people have no reason for upgrading it.

Well, what to do now? If you've been a w2k pro user/developer for a while when you are very at ease with the operating system. You're right, why to upgrade it? Though, what if you do upgradation to it? What operating system will give you the constancy w2k pro has been offered for many years? The ease as well as the performance? I've tried Win XP pro in it?
