    Default Blue screen ntoskrnl.exe error

I have a Dell Gx400 running Windows 2000 (sp4). I am facing a blue screen on the PC when I connect something to a USB port which is known as a mass storage device (i.e. any USB hard drives, as well as iPod,) this machine uses USB ports fine for a pda, 2 printers with a scanner.

The blue screen is a "Page_fault_in_non_paged_area" 8044d67d base at 80400000 datestamp 40d1d183 - ntoskrnl.exe can someone help on this. I have uninstalled as well as reinstalled every USB drivers. This error is for onboard USB ports and the USB 2.0 hub I have installed.

There are a hardly any things to do. Test your hardware manager that there is no yellow exclamation or question mark, if so, stop it. During startup keep pressing the F8 key. Displays booting options. Also go to "Last known good configuration" or "vga safe mode."

one time you are in, show up with mouse "My Computer", and right-click on it, and enter the properties, and after that on the advanced, performance options, Virtual memory manager, change. You should have about 1.5 times your physical memory free hard disk space. If you can get in moreover, shut-down as well as reboot your computer. Another thing is to boot with your 2000 CD and do a manual repair", to check bad files. Have your Emergency Repair disk ready.
