Default Access denied when running logon script via GPO

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.win2000.group_policy (More info?)
I am tiresome to run a logon script for a group of users through Group Policy but
the script is not executing. The Application event log shows the subsequent
    error:
Source - UserInit, Event ID 1000.
"Windows could not execute logon.bat due to the following error.
    Access is denied."

Any help out/advice would be respected.
