From last night, suddenly my computer has stopped booting. I have Windows XP and Windows 2000 SP 4. Whenever I try to start, it shows the motherboard name. Then some other information pertaining to network devices come. But then when the operating system options used to come earlier, are not coming. The monitor simply goes blank with a single blinking cursor. What can be the reason and how can I recover from this? The configuration of my computer is given below.Intel Pentium IV- 2.4 GHz Processor (In-built LAN)Mercury Motherboard (Intel Chip Set- 845 GL)512 MB DDR1 RAM240 GB HDD (160 GB + 80 GB. 80 GB is the master but the operating systems are in the other hard disk.)LG CD ROM (52X)Sony DVD R/WFloppy Disk DriveSnazio TV Tuner CardI use AVG Antivirus Free edition, Spyware Doctor and AVG Anti-Spyware and AVG Anti-Rootkit.
