Default Upgrading Vista to Windows 7

I disappearing do improve from Vista Home premium to Windows 7 Home premium on doorway P-6831fx note pad. My structure has revival drive or partition D: / on it from the mfgr. though I have never had to use it, I comforted by information that it there. My query is, if or when I do the improve will it also upgrade revival drive/partition D: / or will it retain the Vista OS on there? Any input would be appreciated. Please help me to solve this problem.

    Default

If you do 'clean' install which contains formatting, then that area or divider will perhaps be gone. If you do an upgrade install, that divider should stay intact. But know this, the revival partition if used will only return computer to its novel state. This accurately equal if had to design and reinstall windows completely from put in disk over again. With one, you restart while holding down 'F' key, with additional; you insert DVD disk, and restart. If hard drive goes awful, so does recovery partition, but with DVD, you install on new hard drive easily. With recovery partition, you go backwards to Vista, with the DVD, you recover back to Windows 7.
