Thread: Stop touchpad on Windows 7

I have dell laptop and windows 7 installed in it. I am not using touchpad of laptop, rather than I utilize USB mouse for it. So I want to disable touchpad of laptop which runs windows 7. So please tell me how to disable the touchpad on windows 7. Any help will be appreciated.

To disable touchpad activity, modify properties of utility 'Dell touchpad'. For this click 'touchpad picture' and click 'Device select'. Here you get option to disable the touchpad. This will solve your problem.

Do process given below to disable touchpad:

• Start control panel and choose Mouse properties icon.

• Click categorical view and click properties.

• Choose 'Disable Touch Pad' option and click OK.
