Thread: Windows 7 Requirements

I have Windows XP OS. Right now I am planning to install windows 7 on my system. I want to know that my system is compatible with windows 7 operating system.
Here is my computer specification:

• Operating system: XP professional

• Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU

• E 2160GHZ @ 1.80GHZ

• 1.80GHZ; 2GB RAM

If you want to run Windows 7 on your computer, here's what it requires:

• 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

• 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

• 16 GB available HDD space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

• DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
