Thread: How to Speed up turn off time in windows 7

I am windows 7 user. I am facing a problem with my system. Whenever I am shutting down my computer it's taking a long time than usually. Can anyone tell me what the problem? Your help would be highly appreciated.

Try this:

• Press Start + R >> Open Run command and type regedit.

• In the regedit go at the following Location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l

• In the right hand side, right click on WaitToKillServiceTimeout and click on Modify.

• Type in a number between 2000 to20000 and click on OK.

• Then close regedit.

• Reboot your computer.

I have tried the given solution but it didn’t resolve my issue. Please try to provide some other solution.
